There are so many things that could have been fixed but nobody ever decided to try, I have lost faith that the Wipeout I remember will ever come back.New Episodes of Cable's #1 New Comedy "Wipeout" Return Tuesday, Januon TBS Also, TBS as a network airs too many ads and tries to squeeze out every penny they can. In conclusion, this reboot is an embarrassment because none of the problems from season seven were ever fixed even with two original producers being involved with this reboot. Additionally, the show is slow paced, with no obstacle montages and is boring to watch. The music is too dramatic, and there is no fire in the Wipeout Zone, along with the blue lights being annoying and obnoxious. Round two is a course not just one big obstacle, and there are two heats and the best team from each heats moves on, which is unfair because the two best teams could be in the same heat but only one moves on while a worse team in the other heat could move on. The hosts (excluding Camille Kostek who should be at the course live by default) are live at the Wipeout Zone which makes it even worse, and sometimes there are no replays in the Wipeout Zone, and there is too much lighting as well. They used something very similar to the catastrophic cannon in the Wipeout Zone even though it has already been used too much before. There are less than twenty-four contestants, and none of the contestants who don't make it pass round one are never shown at all. The theme and music that is used is just straight up bad and hard to listen to, there have three rounds and not four. The parts of obstacles that push and shove contestants around are way too calm and soft. The intro-animations for the contestants are just cringey and unnecessary. It is way to cinematic and is annoying to look at and the are few vertical and ariel shots. Both of the hosts do not fit with the show at all, they became political, and the show is rated TV-14 not TV-PG with some of their commentary, and there are too many shots of them. The prizes were halved with the winner of the episode getting $25,000 not $50,000, and Smallsy being worth $250 not $500. In this new series that have teams of two not just one person, four people in the Wipeout Zone acting as teams which is just awful, and after ten minutes on an obstacle you can just skip it. They didn't learn anything and made it worse. You would think the producers would learn from their mistakes but no. Season seven also had obstacles that were very hard to make just for the sake of tv, and the Wipeout Zone was ruined because if the contestant failed on an obstacle they would just swim to the next one so it became a swimming competition. Season seven also felt more fake and commercialized because of formatting changes and special effects that looked cheap. The original series was cancelled because in season seven there were not two sets of obstacles in the season (Except for the first obstacle in the qualifier which was always different, the sucker punch, and the big balls, there were two different sets of obstacles in the qualifier, two different stets for round two, two-three sets for round three, and two Wipeout Zones for a season, excluding the earlier seasons). Even though Matt Kunitz, and Scott Larsen who were involved in the original series along with this reboot things got even worse. When I heard that Wipeout was going to be rebooted I thought they would look at the mistakes that were made in season seven and not make the same mistakes again, but no. There are so many things wrong with this reboot of Wipeout I have two full pages of notes about the problems with it.
